Backing up *beep* *beep* *beep* (Annie)

We are not the kind of people who do such crazy things. We plod and we plan and we're so sensible. I don't know what happened to us when we vacationed in Arizona in February but whatever it was, it's not letting go of us.

We're settled here. We have a house and a car (and now a truck and travel trailer but that's part of the crazy) we're surrounded with friends and I have a good job making decent money. Life is pretty darn sweet. But that thing, that Arizona thing grabbed us by the... by the what? Heart? Spirit? Maybe, like porn, I can't define it but I know it when I see it. Or feel it, in this case. It feels nearly spiritual but that more than anything is NOT me. I'm grounded and sensible and reliable, and I'd describe Roxi the same way.

But here we are, throwing caution to the wind and charging ahead. As Roxi said, our July trip - the one we were taking to make sure the summer climate suits - is now superfluous. It feels like we blinked and now are fully suited up to leave here. The trailer comes home tonight, the truck on Thursday. Then we get to play with them, learn how to drive around all hitched up, and back up. That's part of the crazy, too, that we've never towed a travel trailer before but we're going to haul this one all the way out west. I've also never lived in a RV nor have I even camped in one!

I've got a lot to learn before launch day.
