- leaves are falling
- I raked some leaves
- leaves unrake themselves
A neighbor on one side doesn't rake her leaves. I'm with her 100% philosophically. Realistically, I live in a motorhome. Let's not add logs to the fire. The elderly couple on the other side of Non-Raker erected a leaf fence; now I feel peer pressure. Nevermind that I cut down a flowering quince in our backyard. That elderly neighbor had some polite displeasure to convey, too. I'm just toeing the mark until we can get out of here and be disapproved-of by a whole new set of seniors.

Is it just me, or was that song playing in an
endless loop in roller rinks across the country circa 1975?
I agree with you and your rakeless neighbor.Leaves do wonders for the soil as they decompose into the ground, which the trees enjoy, so I'm guessing the trees are on our side too.
Roller rinks! Remember how they were the primo social venues? We heard that song so much it's probably imprinted on our germ cells.
I'm depriving the trees! I need to stop that immediately.
I keep trying to blow all of the leaves directly at the trees, but they refuse to suck them into their roots fast enough to keep the wind from taking them back.
Trees are slow.
