We traveled (by car) to Canada for our friends' wedding this weekend. They put us up at a beautiful hotel with a spectacular view of the Niagara River and the Falls by day, and the city lights by night. You know which is which.

... and this one, too. I took none of these pictures. |
I showered as though I'd never felt hot water before. Eight months of conservation down a Canadian drain.
Those guys brought their iPads and enjoyed the blazing speed of the hotel wifi. I moseyed down to the bank of public computers and relaxed to the gentle rhythm of dial-up. This was a good thing! I realized that this site loads slowly. That made me feel shame and remorse, so I reset the formatting so that there are only a few posts on the front page; hopefully that will speed things up for lower bandwidth access. You lower-bandwidth people. Yes, you. Let me know if it helps. I'm sorry for my previous obliviosity.
I've added a couple of links. I'm only adding companies that I like and use myself. I haven't bought Marianne's books yet, but only because I'm procrastinating. I will definitely buy them before we launch.

Wow... nothing like those sunrises, eh.
We want more pictures! Maybe you can post them on facebook, you hosers!
Paaahdon my piics. We'll post some, eh.
Har to the both of ya! Har!
Lovely pics! I wonder, do the falls ever freeze solid? Or is that not possible?
Rose, we saw photos of lots of ice on the falls, but always there was substantial flow at the center. The rapids just ahead of the drop are moving so fast that I can't imagine it getting cold enough to freeze solid.
I really like the sun/clouds picture probably because I don't see much sun now and I like sun.
Jeana, I feel your pain. Literally. The snow here would be fine if the sun ever shone on it.
We should get together and share survival secrets. Oh, wait, TUCSON is your survival secret! :)
Hi, Roxanne....Suzanne from Jennifer's group here.
I am so happy about the new site formatting! I love reading yours and Annie's comments, but your site used to bring my poor antique laptop to its knees, so I didn't get to read as often as I would have otherwise liked. But after the changes you made, it loads up with the best of 'em!
Thanks for the "site mods!"
Suzanne
Hi Suzanne! Thanks for letting me know about the formatting. Sorry it was so sluggish before - I never even thought about it.
