You're old when your co-workers think Hee Haw is a chocolate drink.
When Annie motors off to her grown-up job, I'm left to figure out how to feed myself. First, I go to the fridge:
I take out food:
I take out different food:
I never take pictures of food, but my new camera does. And, today, I am taking Midlife Cruiser's Nosy Nellie Refrigerator Challenge. Annie's head just hit the keyboard. Hon, you've got a little qwerty on your face. This is why I blog when she's away.
Rose, it really was pretty, but I wish you could have taken its picture instead of me.
Marianne, in the fridge it really doesn't bear closer inspection! In the salad, everything was pretty tasty. In the end, I opted against the mystery tubers.
Well done, my friend! See, wasn't it liberating to share your deepest darkest refrigerator secrets?? :)
Your salad looks divine! Hope you realize you have a hidden food photography talent, and share more of those kinds of pics with those of us who constantly dream about FOOD!!
Froggi, that's a serious coolerator you guys have there!
Merikay, they were clementines. I can't eat enough of those little guys!
Nellie, I do feel cleansed. But, that salad was an anomaly; if I make food for myself it's usually homely enough that I close my eyes while I eat. Thank you, though!
Fish oil also comes in capsules and there is no taste, especially the ones I buy at my naturopath's office...FYI...Vital Nutrients brand. I was just looking at the label and it says the capsules have a lemon flavor. I've never tasted lemon after taking them.
Oh, you have a naturopath - I'm jealous. My MD is adorable, and listens to me, and doesn't give me a hard time about my "wierd" self-supplementation, but she's about as conventional as they come.
I am too big a weenie to ever take fish oil in anything but capsules - yeeecch! They don't claim to be fruity-flavored, but I take them at night so I don't notice any kind of taste at all. I probably don't have to keep them in the fridge, but I'm afraid of them getting oxidized and gross.
Do you take the fish oil for moods, or for general health reasons?
Ha! Hee Haw! Did you know that there's a statue of Minnie Pearl at the Ryman in Nashville. Yep, Minnie's been bronzed. I ♥ your salad...papaya, mango, orange, snow peas, pecans...? Haha Dawg - the fish oil is not so tasty, so I swallow it quick.
Hmmmm, what's the story behind using the face of cat food as your avatar? I love foraging in the refrigerator.
Glad to see you are back here. I always get a laugh.
Ha! You got me! I was, all, HUH? until I saw my rodent nose looking back at me. That's my alter ego, the vizcacha.
I'm glad you're back here, too!
