To further clog your 'Tubes

We've been so much about gettin' outta here that you probably think we live on the bad side of Hades.  Not so.  We worked hard and moved to Hell's suburbs.  Lots of pictures after the jump.

Hell's suburbs? Looks like paradise! Beautiful. April sounds like a perfect time to hit the road.

Thanks, Malone. It's a very pretty area.

Rose, it's beautiful here about 40% of the year, and April is primo. It should be good travel weather, but a really gorgeous time to stay; that will be the hard part.

Pidge, the waterfall and stream pictures were taken in Trumansburg. The falls are called Taughannock (if you pass through, say "Tuh GAN uck". The flowers were shot mostly in Ithaca, and the boating pics were taken in Watkins Glen.

Thanks, Andrew!

Oh, and the shots of far off hills and nearby wildflowers were taken in the Fingerlakes National Forest. Great camping and hiking area, with diverse, low-intensity trails. Not great for big-rig boondocking, though.

Ducky: Yeah, they're all pretty close, and so is April!

We'll go to Florida first, to see my mom. We'll hang out there for as long as things are cool, then head west. Maybe (DOWNER ALERT) spread some of my father's ashes on his mom's grave in Orange, TX, and also (ALERT OVER) visit some aunts and cousins in the area. A friend near Bryan, TX. Etc.

I spent 18 years living in the little town of Newark Valley, and raising my kids there. It is a gorgeous part of the country. :) Ithaca was always about a week or two ahead in the blooming department. No doubt due to the Finger Lakes' influence.

Judy, you were in NV?? Wow, that's really close (in upstate miles)! We've rarely had an opportunity to be there, but we were often in Owego, and often in Dryden.

We're a little higher than Ithaca in elevation, so we're slightly behind.

Good grief, maybe I should forget full timing and move there. Hell's suburbs huh? And I thought leaving beautifully blooming Virginia in April was hard enough.
