Another little one.

[That's what SHE said.]
We've decided to launch Wednesday morning.  EEEEEEEE!!!!  We have an appointment with our lawyer Tuesday, and that's the last bit of business left.

First stop will be to meet up with a group of women somewhere in a Georgian forest, or else a resort or a WalMart.   After that, my mom's place.  But first, three weeks of ???  My job is to find the appropriate road out of here, and point us in a direction.  Any suggestions?

Where are you guys starting out of again, somewhere in NY state, right?

Wow. This is exciting. I have no clue where to go, but I hear that the Carolina's are gorgeous right now. I'm stuck for the moment in the snowy rain of the Oregon Cascades. Daydreaming of course, about spring, which doesn't come early enough at Rocky Point.

Step #1. Leave the driveway! :~)

Very cool! No ideas but I am really interested to see what direction you take! :) If you were on this side of the country, I would have more ideas!

Just a few more days then! Good for you! May the road rise up (but not too far up) to meet you and the sun be always at your back. :-)

Steve: yes. We're in the Finger Lakes region.

Malone: our spring sounds identical. We're still cold, still wet, and still gray.

Merikay: good instructions! Then ... ? Yeah, I'm not quite in sync with "it doesn't matter" yet.

Mike: I'll provide more information than anyone wanted.

Thanks, Marianne!

The Outer Banks of North Carolina is spectacular and now would be a great time to go. Not the season yet and you can get some deals. If you go, stay at Camp Hatteras and say hi to all the folks we worked with there a few years ago, many continue to go back year after year.

I'm in agreement with everyone. Hit the Carolinas, the Nantahala national forest to be exact. It's one of many gorgeous areas you guys will be seeing/living in in the days to come.

Great idea about NC - I think we'll be headed to one or both of these places, thanks to your suggestions. There are a couple of potential boondocking sites we checked out, and we'll scout in person once we're in the areas.

So sorry we missed you. You should have hollered at me and I would have come right over. I am sure we will meet somewhere down the road. Your Mom sure lives in a beautiful place.

Pidge, Annie showed me your blog and said "Doesn't this look familiar?" What a coincidence! We were probably 200 yards apart when you took those shots. One day we'll get within hug's distance.
