Nicole and Darlene came to visit us! We’re boondocking about an hour and a half from their house, but they made the trip out to lend us their excellent company. They worked on the Duck some more, too. This time, I got under the motorhome with them, but luckily they needed my retrieval skills more than they needed me to lay on the ground pretending I don’t care about ticks. One fuel filter, eight spark plugs, and a set of wires later, none of us are sputtering. We’ll be sure to report back about performance and mileage; Nicole wondered if the plugs were original.
Annie is getting an itchy gas foot (not a bacterial infection), but she’s willing to stay in town until the CITYWIDE yard sale in Monticello, GA. By law, people will have to bring stuff out of their houses and sell it to me. If you attend as my guest, they will have to sell stuff to you, too. If we don’t like what they’re selling, we will go into their houses and pick out something else. It’s the law! I didn’t make it, I just abide by it.
Frugal Sue from The eBay/RV Life invited us to her temporary digs to meet her and have lunch. She’s staying in Serenbe, a trim, neat planned community outside Atlanta. We ate at the Blue Eyed Daisy Bakery, then enjoyed a little walk around to see local scary things:

Wow... you gals are really on an adventure... meeting all kinds of new people, laying under RVs, changing spark plugs, and touching horses without universal precautions! So mavericky!
If I weren't so comfortably ensconced on my couch, I would be so envious I wouldn't be able to stand it. As it is, I'm envious enough. :-)
Love, Me
I've gone rogue! Still, you do have a very comfy couch.
Roxanne & Annie--
It was so much fun to have you both visit today! Thank you for coming. Love the colt pics, especially the middle one--that could be on a calendar or greeting card.
Sue
What a cute little horse! How lucky you guys are!
Wow! That's a seriously big wheel. Or she is very tiny. Love the horsey pics.
I LoVe yard sales...of course you have to stay for that! And if the RV gets too full, you can always have an RV sale or ship the bits and pieces out to your friends and relatives.
Those horses are beautiful, what a pleasure it must have been to meet them.
Bud Light!
Sue, it was great to meet you! Thanks for inviting us.
The colt (is that the right horse word?) was very flirty and show-offy. He did many, many passes of galloping past us, and kicking up his hooves. Mom watched us closely, but didn't intervene.
Darlene is very streamlined and isn't burdened with extra mass. The wheel is also pretty big.
It's true - we're not packed full yet! Good point. Beer: never did I predict that I would be drinking Bud Light from a can in a Georgia Tech coozie. Yet, here I am, happy as can be.
Great pictures of the colt. They are very flirty at that age, but get very shy the older they get. Love, love, love, yard sales, anywhere, anytime!! Get a lot of my reading material very cheaply. stay safe... :)))
With all the work you had done on the duck, no one changed the spark plugs? Really?
You are going native. That's cool. People who like to travel have to be able to do that. But if I hear you're gonna vote for Mike Huckabee I'm coming to get you.
How and where you do guys plan on storing the yard in "The Duck"?
HA! Carolyn! If you hear such rumors, bring the entire intervention team. That's hilarious. And, no. No one changed them.
Steve, I'm more worried about the GARAGE sales.
Yeah but, hey look, more storage space!
