First, it was to get a shot of these birds hanging out with the cows.
Unexpectedly, cows are divas. |
Can I get some service?
The diesel is cheaper - I'll have that. |
No hurry - I'll wait. Can you check the oil?
While I was gallivanting, the old folks at home were getting things done:
I'd help, but it's time for wine! I'll be out soon, honest. |

Love the cow picture!!
The birds and cows are lovely!
Is gasoline really that cheap down there, or over there?
Oh, to hark back to the days of $1.50 gas...sweet memories indeed.
Where are you ducks going to spend winter? Coming to the SW by any chance?
Nina
Thanks, Pidge.
Rose, only in my dreams. Although, it is coming down here, slowly. How about where you are?
Nina: YES! YES! YES! Although I don't want to wait for winter. You guys are making me think we can spend some quality time in NM without breaking the bank, and staying high (elevation-wise) to stay cooler. 102° here today. Comfort meter said it felt like 103°.
I can't see any of the pictures. All I'm getting are words then big blank spaces, then more words. Bummer.
Bummer, Jeana. Are you using Chrome? It won't load for me, either. Firefox was fine. I blame Google.
It's a few hours later and I decided to try again and I can see the pictures now. No, there isn't anything wrong with me, at least none that I'm aware of. The gas prices, especially the diesel, had me going for a bit there. I wish they were true.
Did Goober ever come out and pump the gas?

Aren't those egrets supposed to be on the backs of those cows??? Doing whatever egrets on the backs of cows do.

K & R, that's hilarious! I had forgotten Goober Pyle. He probably collected about 25¢ a gallon, didn't he?
Sherry, that would have been AWESOME. These guys were all on the ground, do ing what egrets do when they're not on cows' backs.
FUN Post!!!
Travel safe
Donna
Thanks, Donna!
Yeah! Come on over...temps have risen to 80 degrees today, but we're hitting a lovely 45 at night. We'll be spending July at even higher elevations in CO.
Sure beats a 'comfort level' of 103...hehe
Oh man, is it ever! That sounds like heaven.
