Things you learn at the movies

I told you all about 49¢ day at Blockbuster, and how the clerks are all "Wow!  You're going to have a Twilight movie marathon tonight because ripping movies onto your computer is not legal!" and how we smile and nod, because ripping movies onto your computer is not legal (Blockbuster clerks make killer copyright lawyers).   They probably caught the moue of misery on my face and assumed I was already a huge Bella fan.  We're totally Team Jacob, which I never knew was a thing until Annie told me.

I tricked Annie into sightseeing yesterday.  Tricked = badgered.  I tricked her down to Micanopy, then I tricked her back into Gainesville to the Museum of Natural History.  On a nicer day, I could have tricked her into the Butterfly Rainforest, but it's outdoors, y'all.

the Butterfly Rain forest? I'll go there and maybe we can see unicorns and glitter?

There are ponies there, too.

Roxanne, you better stay away from that scary Butterfly place. As I recall, you're afraid of ponies.

Okay, this is one of those posts that I just don't get. Too old, I guess, and not a movie goer. :)

Sue, you're right! I'm glad you reminded me of that terrifying connection before I got there and embarrassed myself!

Judy, Twilight is a teen vampire series, and all the tweeny girls are crazy about it. Plus, some middle-aged women. We decided to see what all the fuss was about, and it turns out it wasn't about anything.

That's because the books are better (I say as I hide my face in my hands in shame). Those overpaid teenage actors should have stuck to Clearasil ads instead of ruining perfectly good books! I'm on team read the damn books...duh!

Aha! You're the one! Actually, my good friend, Maria, is a huge, huge fan of the movies and books. My theory is that people read the books first and get hooked, and then they're more receptive to (and forgiving of) the movies. I prefer TrueBlood. Sex, blood, facial expressions ... it has it all.

Facial expressions during sex ;) I'm so bad!
