As Heard At Our House™, Thanksgiving edition

[holding cat]  Tucker just became intestinally-comfortable.
~~~
Okay, that's two bottles of wine for the party, two bottles for Thanksgiving, one bottle for us ... that's almost $10 worth of wine!
We wish you all sort of comforts for the body and spirit.
$10 - for wine??? Are you sure you didn't break the bank? Have a wonderful turkey day tomorrow. At least it's not a "duck" day.
Aren't boxes more eco-friendly than glass bottles anyway?
Hey there BIG spenders! Don't enjoy your Thanksgiving TOO much. Remember according to the ad men, we are just barely squeezing in this one day since it's been HO HO HO since Trick or treat.
I know what I am going to bring as a hostess gift if I ever come to visit! Any maybe my own cork screw?
Happy Thanksgiving!
Don't give Tucker any left over turkey or he'll become intestinally uncomfortable!
Evielynn, I like how you think.
Donna, that's an excellent point. Wine cows save the Earth.
Ain't it the truth, Sherry. It feels especially discordant down here in Florida, where there are no external prompts (snow storms) to drive us to the malls like sheep, so we're trouncing around in our flip-flops and shorts decking the halls all through Lowe's.
No need for your own corkscrew! We have a fancy one, because we don't buy that cheap wine with screw-tops.
Oh man, Judy, you aren't kidding! Wow, would that be a mistake.
Sip, sip,
Munch, munch,
Drink some wine
Have some punch.
Gobble, gobble,
Quack, quack,
The ducks are safe -
The turkey's whacked.
Happy TDay!
Zoe
You really do quack me up ... gives a whole new meaning to "The Long and Wine-ding Road". Happy Thanksgiving, and thank for the smile!
You know, they are making some nice wines nowadays with twist caps--no cork. This is in the range of 20-something chardonnay or fume blanc bottles also. I like it so much better than having to deal with the corks.
Anyway, don't be spending all your money in one place now.
$10 for wine? After filling my MH tank with diesel, I'd have to take out a loan to buy the magic grape.
;c)
This is what it's come to! We have to choose between exhilarating motion and pleasant stupor. That ain't right.
You can't go wrong with pleasant stupor. I just finished off a bottle of ice wine, myself. I'll go back to the cheap stuff next week.
I hope you guys had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
