We met my cousin, Lori, at the 4th Avenue Street Fair. I love this kind of thing.

Opinions were expressed.

To be fair, he wasn't crazy about 2% or skim, either.

Frybread was eaten.

What a diversity in photo subjects... looks like an interesting experience (that's "nice" for crazy-assed) to me. I could sure go for that fry bread!

That water looks FAKE!
Don't know how you did it, but now you've been outted. There's kinda of a segue in there, but I'll let you figure out the rest.
*wink wink* *nudge nudge*

When I first moved here I felt lost without water so my friends brought me to JFK Lake. I was laughing so hard. I figured it was just a pond coming from the East Coast. Hey Judy that isn't the sewage plant that's about 3 mile from this pond. Hitting the street fair in the morning.

Can you camp near the lake or just visit during the day?

Interesting looking Street Fair to say the least.

That didn't look like just frybread. It looked like a party on frybread.

Glad you are enjoying Tucson so much! When I go there, I sit on the couch at Steve's sister's house and watch too much TV. I will have to try your approach next time.

That fry read is sin. Being slow that I am, I had to read the 2%, skim line three times before I got it. I guess we're all just variations of the same drink.

Love Indian taco's. Always a choice for me when at street fairs! Great to find water to hang out during the day. Awwwww

HAHAA!! Always get a great laugh out of your posts. LOVE the street fair - and frybread! As family, I literally laughed out loud at your "2%, skim" caption of the sign. Also think I'll bring a cardboard sign to the next 'gathering' - the one the lady in red sunglasses is holding. TOO funny.

That fry bread was loaded! Looked like you had all the veggies in the whole state on it... ;c)

Gotta have fry bread...

So glad to see water! We may have to take Spirit for a swim to wash off the dust. Betsy and I took in the fair yesterday but missed the opinionated sign holders. Reminds me of Mardi Gras in New Orleans - the sinner always outnumbered the others.

Whoa, that fry bread thing looks too good to be true! Time to go make dinner me thinks.

Yea, that Tarot Psychic Dude looks pretty convincing! Meep!

OMG you guys. I responded and then somehow clicked away from this page and lost it all. I'm tying this from the floor where I threw myself in a rage.

Bleh. So, I'm just going to say what should be said AND NOT A WORD MORE.

Nancy: Spirit will likely be okay swimming, but here's cause for pause for paws. Infected catfish okay to eat, says someone who's not going to eat them. And, YAY sinners! They outnumber saints even in New Orleans?

Jool, I think that sign could come in handy in so many circumstances.

Pat! So pithy and astute. I love it.

Teri, it's only a day park. :(

Jo, we thought it was more pondlike, too. And, we need a more aggressive social facilitator so we'll actually meet!

Sherry, she looks so nonchalant - it cracks me up.

Rodney, yes. Definitely yes.

If you like Christmas lights, Winterhaven will open in a week or so. Check it out.

Those are great roadrunner photos!!

Looks like a fun day, I love street fairs, but why can't people keep their opinions to themselves. I really don't give a rat's a** what those sign holders have to say.

About that pink balloon - what??? I just saw one of those at the nudist area of Quartzsite today. See my next blog post - but I put a pair of graphic pants on him. Well, what I mean is, I have a graphic of shorts, and I applied the graphic over his pink balloon. :)

The Good Luck Duck said...

Thanks, Barbara! About graphic pants, I'm thinking the pants can't be more graphic than the balloon, but I see what you mean.

Thanks, Allison. I heard something about that on the radio. I LOVE Xmas lights.

Grace, Annie said that guy knew I was going to take his picture.

Jool, it can't hurt to have a sign like that made up, just in case. You never know when it might be appropriate.

The Good Luck Duck said...

WAIT A MINUTE, did you say "nudist area of Quartzsite"?? Where the heck is that?

Contessa said...

You are having mucho fun and looking great by the way.

Great post. The closet sign cracked me up, also.

Haven't been to Tucson for many years, maybe it's time to go again, if just for the fry bread.
