The downside to three days of clouds is that our solar panels - already taxed by short winter days - are begging for Ecuador. Because our storage capacity is adequate, we still have plenty of power. The batteries just aren't topping off every day like they do in the summer.
We met Jo from Mom's Little Run Away and the Tin Can Cabin for lunch at Coyote Pause Café. It was great to meet you, Jo! We enjoyed our lunch and conversation, and she led us astray into the local artist's consignment shop. My wallet was saved only by feeling faint and needing to sit on the cowboy boot try-on chair, which was far from all the jewelry I was putting my eyeballs on.

None of my friends in Seattle (where they have had 8 dry days since October 12) ever offers any sympathy when it rains here. Heartless. We've been to Coyote Pause, but missed the Emporium, thanks for the tip.
Ummm... I bet that AZ rain smells better than the rain we get here in Oregon. Ours smells like mold...oh, no, that's just my bathroom walls. Nothing EVER gets totally dry here in the winter. Even my dryer sheets feel damp.

BTW the Catback Mountain Shop is closed on Mondays.

Nina, it looks like AZ until the weather breaks, then we may scoot over into NM to spend a few months. Although now Annie keeps reading me things about Anza Borrego. Will this be yet another power struggle? No, probably not.
