Lucy, Annie, and Jo |
A bunch of you were worried that we
weren't having enough fun. So, I'm showing you this picture to show you that we have been criminally social. Lucy thought it was a crime that we made her eat Indian food.
You were right to worry. Today I did laundry, and I did it in December, too. I need more brown clothes.
The following pictures are Annie's. The owl signed a release, or released a sign. Don't step there.
We're loving our borrowed land.

Love the owl pics. Love seeing the Bounder surrounded by desert! :)
The owl pics are truly wonderful! Definitely keepers!!
aw great to see Jo ... her blog never has her picture... what fun ... your owl is very cool ... just watched Harry Potter on the teevee ~ and well... there was a big huge beautiful white owl. then came here and you have a horned owl, I presume.
well. isn't that a coincidence.
Wonderful pictures. Thank you!
You're a hoot ;)
Hooray for owls! We are hoping to see some owlets ourselves tomorrow!
Great Owl picture! I will be amozon u as soon as my life quiets down a bit, need some books.
Glad to see pics of all these wise ones. I'm all about avoiding laundry too. That all 3 washers at the campground here have "out of order" signs makes it easier.
Did the owl hooty-hoot-hoot for you, too?
"Criminally social." I like it. What happen if you get "caught?"

hey I liked the indian food went back for seconds, had a great time the place was beautiful. even in the desert you can have a hootin-annie Lucy
You guys are out in the middle of "no woman's land" - that's what I call boondocking. I'm surprised that Owls are even out there!
Beautiful owl photos!
Y'all, Annie says "thanks" about the owling. She's shy.
It's pretty remote, Rick, just the way we like it. The owls heard about us and came to see HOOO Hooo hooo would camp all the way out here.
FUNNY, Lucy!
Mark, I think you get solitary.
Nickie, we got the full owl show. Even heard the owl he was hooty-hoot-hooting to.
Well, Sherry, I guess you have to use the other one. Every time I do a big wash (of clothes) I think why don't I do this when there's one load? Because when there's one load, there are still clean clothes in the closet.
Ha, Jo - thanks!
Hurray, Jill!
Haha Blue! That makes me think of Boston Legal, if you ever watched that.
Thanks, Linda, and thanks for commenting so I could find your blog!
It's true, Carolyn - not much Jo on the 'net. I guess if we see this owl again we could call him Hedwig, but he probably gets that a lot.
Aren't they fun, Karen? I didn't think she'd catch him so well.
Brenda, we like seeing the Bounder so surRounder, too.
The first picture looks like they might be Night Owls (Noturnis partyerii) but identifying them throws me off since you obviously spotted them during the daylight hours...
Looks like quite the hooten "Annie"! -twoscamps
Heyduke, those Owls can be seen partying day AND night, if you know where to look.
Hey you scamps, good to meet you! You're boondockers, I see - HIGH FIVE!
High five right back at you!
I just thought of a source of income for you to look into: owl droppings! Many science classes dissect owl droppings to see the bones, teeth & whatever else the owl couldn't digest.
Some company must be paying someone to pick up owl droppings, may as well be you guys. ;-> LG
I love seeing your motorhome all alone out there. What a great site you found! Thanks for the owl pics....always love to see them.
So it is true that you have to step lightly around owls. ;c)
Your boondocking site is terrific, you can't find much better than that!
Paul and Marti, I wouldn't lie about owls. Isn't it a great spot? We are enjoying the heck out of it.
Karen, it loves being out here alone.
LG, that's brilliant!! Combine my love of poo with someone else's need for poo...voila!
Ahhh...
That last picture tickles my exhaust pipe! Seeing such a beautiful sheila out in the bush...from the Bounder tribe, like me! So many miles between us, Duck...so many miles...
All I have to look at are ritzy, suburban rvs pass by the driveway where I'm parked. They turn their noses up at me and put on way too much diesel perfume if you ask me, which lingers in the air after they waltz on by.
You're a beauty, Duck!
Love, Joey the Fleetwood Bounder (your admirer)
How much better can life get? It seems pretty perfect right now.
