Engle, New Mexico and more Truth or Consequences: Some Like It Damp edition

Once I can leave the house for any reason, I have satisfied the energy of activation. As long as I'm still in my jammies on the couch, I can only meet the lethargy barrier. Something or other makes me get dressed - next thing I know, I'm on my way to Engle.

I usually don't research a destination much before I destine myself to go there. So, people ask Didn't you see the reciprocal revolution laminar flow museum? and no. I don't know what to expect, and I like that.

Well, I enjoyed the rapids (we've got a few of them going on over here with all the rain we've been getting). But where's the info on the reciprocal revolution laminar flow museum that you mentioned? Don't make me tell your writing teacher that you bring up a topic in your intro & then never address it!

I addressed it just fine when I said I didn't go to there. Don't make me send a duck over there.

Waiting for explanation of last photograph...

Great pictures. I was here once, but that 1982 and I forget a lot.

Wow! Look at the level of the lake! You guys must be getting LOTS of rain. Is the yard a jungle???

I want to ask questions about the last photograph, but it looks suspicious and I don't want to do anything to attract the NSA.

Gaelyn asked a question like four times and you STILL haven't answered her. Sheesh...... :)

I heard you're getting lots of rain. No excuse for taking a picture when Spud is lifting her skirt up. I think there's someone at the Lincoln Memorial getting arrested for that type of behavior. And YOU'RE doing it with a mirror slipped under. As any New Mexican would say -- "UM-BERS." (meaning "uh-oh" or "for shame")

I dont think anyone can take a pic of a New Mexico sky that is not beautiful. Those places are just what I would be looking for if I were there plus a tad of Bill the kid Stuff. Good job

So, does the Prius float or have a boat?

Well ........... DOES IT?????

Good job, Ducky. I like the underside of Spud too.

Roxie, are you really traveling in a prius. You rarely mention it. I was wondering about your day to day life. How is it working out for you?

The Good Luck Duck said...

Gaelyn, you're not feeling well, so I completely understand your impatience. Spud has neither, and is feeling kinda nervous.

Here you go, Sherry.

Teresa, Renee, Shirlene, and Anon, someone sought me out in person this morning to ask me the same thing. It's a truck on the street reflecting its undercarriage in the rising water. No UM-BERS!

IthaBill! Good to see you. Is "Caray, Caray!" your blog? I don't watch telenovelas but it makes me laugh anyway.

Annie, I took some pictures of your digs - I'll email them to you. Yeah, it's jungly like when you tromp through jungle marshes to get the mail.

Brenda, it's just how I quack and roll.

Thank you for going to the dam and for providing eight interesting seconds.

Terry, that's such a good question that I think I'll talk about it in a blog post. The short, right-now answer is that I've got a housesitting gig right now. I said, to no one in particular, that I needed to be in one place for a while, and then my friend Sue emailed me with this possibility. It couldn't be a better match for me. The homeowners, the place, the length of stay - all perfect. Lap kitties for my lap, even.

Lol! Thanks, Swankie.

Kim, Spud is getting nervous, but a rising tide raises all ducks.

Thanks, Jeanie. You're right - a New Mexico sky is always photogenic.

I do, Saunter, and she wants it back immediately.

The Good Luck Duck said...

Glad to, Linda! I was thinking of you as I headed that direction.

Sorry about my 'hickups'.

They're cute.

Pictures are so cool. And the last one gives you the advantage of making sure everything is still there without getting on your knees. One of the blogs said things at Elephant Butt where flooding, did look like it.
