Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta!

YeeeHAW! That's enough words.

"Spider Pig, Spider Pig! Does whatever a spider pig does ..." PHOTOBOMB!

I've never seen anything that compares with this event, and I hope to see this again. I loved it, even though I lost my date in the crowd within the first 20 minutes. He had his phone, and we met under the cow.

You can eat at the Balloon Fiesta, too.

I only eat local New Mexico gator.

I hope Boudain was done with them.

Not sure where my posse is these days. Maybe it's time for a round-up. I'm in Albuquerque, staying with a long-time friend for a couple of days.

I've been parked at the Fiesta RV lot with Lazy Dazers, but going to the casino tomorrow. I just put some balloon pics on my blog. I LOVE this event!

Hey Roxi, did not know you were in Albuquerque...we are headed out of the area this morning. Saw the balloons on Saturday, and you are right, it is really something! Enjoy. --Dave (GoingRvWay.com)

I swear I will not be in New England in October, next year!

Great pictures, Rox!

Cyndi, I've been trying for four Octobers to get here. Success!

Hey Dave, didn't I see you on the field ... ?

My pleasure, George!

Harriet, look UP. I'm staying with a friend whose house overlooks the field, and I haven't seen any since Saturday, either.

Nancy, I'll check out your shots!

Thanks, Steve!

Th frightening thing? I would actually have had to try the green chili deep fried cheese curds. Longing for that area now ...

Beautiful, Roxanne. Thanks!

Yeah, you gotta. Don't fight it. It's part of the cure.

WOW your pics are great. Another thing to add to my 55 gl. drum of things to do. We used to have balloon things here way back when it was so much fun. Of course this town knows how to ruin everything. So glad you went and shared with us.

Thanks, Jo. Yeah, a bucket just isn't big enough.

Had no idea of the variety - impossible to pick a favorite, but how fun to try :-) We're headed to an RV show this weekend and hoping for some good ol' deep fried everything on a stick! Will definitely find our way to this event in the future - and will keep an eye out for those NM swamps.....

Wonderful pictures of what is a wonderful event. Someday we will be at it, but not this year.

Wow! Great pictures, we really have to go at least once.

C & A: YES!

Thanks, Craig. We were parked next to an Alfa, and I wondered ... but I didn't investigate.

Jodee, the swamps are tricky to find, and not as full of 'gators as they once were.

Hey Roxi! RIley and I are in ABQ, too. With the Lazy Dazes at the RV parking on Alameda. LOVING this event. Will be heading to EB or Caballo on the 12th. Wherever my gal pals are... Have fun!
