Supermoon Sunday, Sunday, Sunday! -- a reminiscence

It's no longer topical, this crazy moon of ours. I figured I'd catch the nostalgic crowd: "Remember that time we had a supermoon eclipse? Those were the good old days."

A wise man once said, "When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's amore." After loving a big pizza pie, it might be time for Pepto-Bismoon.

I don't know a thing about love. I just kinda hang here above.

Do you know about the Camino Real Visitor's Center and Museum? If you've passed by on the highway, or more disappointingly, driven to see it and found it closed, you still don't realize the scope of it. I was pleased to join Steve and Sue for a special program the Center hosted last month.

Photographs were okay, video was not.

If you follow the life and art of Sue Soaring Sun, you're already excited to hear that she is opening her own gallery/antique shop in Truth or Consequences, NM; Sun Gallery

Don't worry that she's settling down! The gallery will be open one weekend a month, and by chance. If you know T or C, you know how perfectly that fits into life here. So, if you're here on Art Hop weekend (this coming Saturday, and every second Saturday), don't miss Sun Gallery. Grand Opening is October 8, 2015.

I'll stay in Truth or Consequences another week or so, then load a lot of stuff into Spud and head toward home in Datil. That part of the plan is enforced by all the things I've acquired while I've been here ... there's no room to sleep in my rig until I take things home.

I especially appreciate the home I've been staying in, and the owners who gave their okay for a stranger to live here. It has been a retreat, but not a silent retreat, because I talk to myself. Not a solitary retreat, because I meet friends by appointment and chance. Not an ascetic's retreat, because I take hot showers and sleep in a delicious bed. It offers me shelter, quiet, and enough time to consider, to think, and to stop thinking. And, to nap.

I remember that moon - seems like only last week :-) Love the dancers. We will be in NM in late February and hope to get to T&C - and now hope to catch the gallery when it's open. Retreats, and naps, are the best.

You always make me laugh, I adore your sense of humor! My only complaint is you don't post more often!

Thanks, Maura! It's true, the action has been on the in- side of things lately.

Sorry, Anneke. That was the way with a lot of the country, I hear.
