Yoda is elusive and camera-shy. An excellent black-and-white specimen.
I haven't taken pictures of the finches, because when I'm inside their aviary, I'm mostly thinking about getting out of their aviary. They're very cute, extraordinarily finchy, with birdlike toileting habits, and I'm just focusing on what they need from me so they can make their next nitrogenous deposit. There is an ingenious dinner theater situation here. The cats can dine (on kibble!), relax, and watch the show. Threatening behavior, like shouting "Show us your thighs, Two-Piece!" is discouraged, but not prohibited.

I'll enjoy the house and critters for two more days, then I'll be on the loose.
Happy 2016 to you all. I'll be snuggled up here wishing I knew how to work the remote like I did two days ago, and listening to the ball drop in NYC. What will you do to usher out 2015?

Glad you're in a warm place for the old years passing. And it looks like you have enough bed warmers to keep you company too.
Looks like a great gig... And a house keeper, too??? I need more of those jobs!!!
I am all stocked up on warm-and-snuggly, Evie!
Cyndi, I kept thinking "I should stop her from cleaning that!" but then I relaxed into it. She wants to do her job like I want to do mine. Carry on!
Sounds like you having frun, we watching the ball drop in Times square tonight, from California.
Ooh, if I were in California, I could go to bed earlier!
I don't know about the rest of your readers but, at midnight tonight, I'll still be laughing over this post.
LOL Kim! Thanks for that!
We will bring in the New Year at the Plazuela Machado in Mazatlan with several hundred others.
Exotic! And warm! (It's warm, right?)
I will be in my favorite chair probably fast asleep by midnight!
Boy your pet sitting skills have really gone far and wide if they know about you in Albefquerky. What ball? What New Year?
I think it's a peculiar lifestyle that can move into someone's house for several days/weeks. Then, if you happen to also be trustworthy, competent, conscientious, AND like animals ... well, Albuquerque is the limit!
Me, too, Sondra. Unless I make it to the bed.
Happy 2016 to you Roxi! I will probably be in bed by 10 as usual...I'll leave the crazy making to everyone else!
Good plan, Lisa. The others have more crazy to offer than we seasoned folks do.
Such a lovely group for company.
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year, Gaelyn!
What a lovely group for a party! Happy New Year!!
They completely enabled my early bedtime. "Go ahead, go to sleep. We will absolutely not climb on the bed when you're not looking."
Long time no quack. Everything okey dokey?
Thanks for checking! I was, in fact, sitting here giving insufficient thought to another post.
