Read this: How to Walk Across a Parking Lot.  If you're too busy to read it, read it twice.

You're gonna walk away, see?  And you're gonna forget you was here, see?  You never saw me, see?

This stuff felt true today:  Ten Scams You Encounter Every Day.  You'll be a better person for having read it, or else you'll be mad that I wasted your time.  If you feel like it wasted your time, read it twice.

No birds were harmed in the filming of this post, but some children may have been badly photographed.

I thought the best part of the Ten Scams post was the comments that followed. Not that the post itself wasn't good, but all the stuff it brought up from the readers was even more illuminating. I really love that blog. It cuts to the chase, doesn't mince words and all kinds of other great cliches apply.

I agree. I only recently found him, and now I find him refreshing and candid. I'll go back to read the comments now.

I want to work on that one.

Alphonse, you and me both. We were too well socialized as young women.

Thanks, Donna!

I suppose this isn't the place to tell you about my duck sex story. Most fowl. I was not directly involved, just in the audience.

Moving along, I went to both those sites and found them veeeerrry interesting. Thank you. I shall practice walking across a parking lot correctly first opportunity.

egrets, I've had a few? Now, that was just uncalled for. You know how to add a caption.

Thanks for giving us the bird! Did I fowl that up???

Thanks, you punsters!

Duck sex story!? Is there a wrong place to tell it?

Tesaje said...

So punny!

Ducks gang rape. At least in a very small confined flock with only 2 females and 3 males. It was a disturbing sight...

The Good Luck Duck said...

I have read and heard confirming anecdotes, Tesaje. I've also read that female ducks have a mechanism by which they choose their ducklings' father in this process. Or, was that pigs? Oh man, now I'm disturbed AND confused.

Thanks for the laugh...I really needed it. The pressure has been released.

No guffawing today, but several snorts. I've had some egrets myself.

How can cat people also be bird people? Aren't they mutually exclusive?

Here's a scam for you: "home ownership is the best way to a comfortable retirement." How's that for a scam in these times?!? Anonymously yours, LG61820

The Good Luck Duck said...

I'm glad, Jeana. You've been building up some steam for a while.

LG, you would think so. I didn't bring my cats on the walk, which probably helped keep the tension low in my subjects.

Yes to that scam. Interesting how home ownership was originally a marketing scheme by corporations who needed to keep their workers loyal and punctual, and now the corporations need to offload their workers, and CEOs need to look up "loyal" in a dictionary.

Well I find your post fowl indeed. By the way you guys still moochdocking over there in FL? Staying winter there?

The Good Luck Duck said...

Nina, we are still moochdocking here. We'll be here into October, for sure.
