We used to enjoy
Tofutti products, until we read the ingredients. Gross. We're used to studying the labels of most foods, but we were complacent about this brand. Our container admits to 2 grams of trans fats. The website denies any knowledge or recollection of this number, and asks us to define "2." Either way, you can see the nasty partially hydrogenated mess right up there behind "water."

If that's your list - Jello ain't vegan and, odds are, the hormone pills aren't either. If it isn't your list, some people need to be more careful with their shopping lists.

O.K. lots of thoughts coming your way now...meanwhile, on another note...that's one big lizard! You could probably barbecue some of those, and they'd be really good! Nice photo of those "blue tag specials"...probably destined to become "top sirloin roasts". Loved the photo of the giant "cactus back blacked eyed beetle"! Not sure if that's the correct name for it, but that's what it looks like to me! You can Google it, if you don't believe me. One final caution, don't walk on Annie's back, unless you throw her in that creek first...then it might be good hydro therapy which is bound to help.

Well, except for the grape juice I figured they were prepping for their colonscopy. I'm afraid I think a lot like Russ... always checking out the surroundings (this includes animal, vegetable and mineral) as a possible meal. Guess I never considered vegan as a way of life as we pretty much lived off the land (and whatever lived on the land). Lizards? haven't tried that yet.
I thought the same thing, Sharon, and I assumed she was getting white grape juice. I figure we're more likely to run down and catch a prickly pear fruit than a lizard, so avoiding things "on the hoof" won't be a problem for us.
I've been thinking about taking a cooking class. I take this post and the comments as a sign that a cooking class would be a good thing. Now I just have to decide if it should be strickly cooking "on the hoof" stuff or off.

Oh Annie - I'm so sorry to hear about your back. That Roxanne is such a slave driver. Why don't you make her pull her share of the load and then you won't have such problems. You poor thing.......I have neither money nor narcotics sadly. I'd like to have both myself and if I did I would definitely share them with you, but I have neigh-thor eith-or.
Glad to hear your vegan diet does not permit grilling lizards, black & whites or bugs. That is a GREAT shot of that sure nuf 6 legged bug.

Levonne, I definitely think it's a sign. My vote is for "off the hoof," but you'll choose well. Personally, I hate cooking, and I hate classes, so it sounds like perfect hell to me, but I've heard some people enjoy both.

I have no money for drugs. Ask the lizard what it eats for a backache. Or boil it into stew with the cactus. You can pull the lizard out later for the no meat version.
