I thought this morning I wonder if 52 between Winston and the Very Large Array is passable? and this afternoon two friendly ladies from Las Cruces said "We just came from the Very Large Array on a dirt road!" and they said it was just fine. Now we know. They un-recommend it during monsoon or after a rain.
It's shorter, but it's longer, if you know what I mean. These ladies claimed it took them 1:45, but I think they lost track of time from having so much fun. Google brings it in at 3:27.

I can't believe you found a stream in NM with water IN it! The dry riverbed, I totally expected, though... beautiful horse... glad you and Maggie are having fun exploring the desert and assorted yurts. I don't own a yurt, but I miss you enough that it sometimes yurts, does that count?

As cheese most definitely does not go with prune juice (and don't ever try it), having any cheese is best done in moderation.

Swankie, they (there were two) were so glossy and sleek that I can't imagine they were wild. But, they sure seemed to have the run of the mountain.

Ah, but the scenery is so much better via the shortcut! Where, generally, are your new digs? We're off Greens Gap Road in the TeePee Ranch subdivision (10 miles south of Datil). Horse Peak is south, Sugarloaf Mtn is north (by substantially more...).
