My ambition is flagging in Flagstaff.

I've been languishing lolling laying around lazing in Flagstaff for a few days with The Cousins. A spectacularly fat cousin stopped over yesterday, and I had a lot of fun pinching his knees and tickling his thighs. He got so amused once that he vomited on me a little. We put his hair up in a Samurai topknot, then his mom changed his diaper. Life is easy here.

A stop in Flagstaff was the terminus for my "long-term" "plans." Ideally, I project my imaginary future past a comfortable place so that my motivation stays high, but I fell short of the ideal this time.

I subscribed to Caretaker.org to see what might present itself.

I wish I could report some big ideas or dazzling epiphanies. Mostly I've been reading, drinking wine, and watching movies. Let's pretend that's the nursery of brilliance.

By your title, I thought maybe you took a job with the highway department in Arizona. ;)

I was wondering what you were up to and now I find it's lazing around. This is a favorite hobby of mine. Carry on! What season is it that your little cabin is perfect for??

Let's face it, you ought to just write! You keep me laughing and crying, wondering and sighing. Time to find the agent or take the self publishing plunge. Don't forsake us sister duck, we need your good words. Thanks, as always, for the zen of you.

Oh RuthieBee, you're the Bee's knees. Thank you for that.

Kim, this is what I'm thinking, too. I'll just press on - no point in doing it half-heartedly.

ExACTly, Gaelyn. They'd let me attend in my jammies, and then I'd have to put on jammies.

I hear ya, Jo. Next will be new grands and you'll never get outta there.

I had the exact thought of Judy Bell.... I hear that flaggers are paid pretty well and I guess it's a good way to work on one's tan ;-) Frankly, I think I'd rather do the flagging than be barfed on ... or change a diaper. (I'm kinda hoping that this cousin is about 6 months old... not 16 or 60)

Interesting looking mural behind the crocheting, looks like something out of a kid's book.
