Whaddya get?

Which way is it?
 

How many miles?

 

Anything else I might want to know flying overhead?
YES SIR!  You'd want to know which way other things are!

Like north.

These were all painted silver originally, when General Patton had his men establish this landmark.  They were for the benefit of pilots flying over needing to orient themselves.

 

It wasn't long before this group of rowdy ne'er-do-wells showed up.  I don't have a good feeling about this.

L to R:  Quincy, Uriah, Thomasina, Zebuluna, Sydney, and Esther.  They're probably going to look for their initials, too.
