What's not to tolerate?
Annie is not content to tolerate. Annie is ready to enjoy!

Annie wore safety glasses to protect her from the ugly.
Things are always darkest before ... well, it was bad for a while.
These things will NOT come up. Annie tried ratcheting things that would not ratchet, a Dremel multi-tool, a hacksaw, bolt cutters, and language that melted our siding.
There was no basement bay access to the nuts holding the bolts in place. We tried to get some traction on the bottom side by using the crowbar to create tension. It created tension in my neck and back, but the bolts kept on spinning.
What worked: Phil and a bolt grinder [no photo because I was freakin' terrified]
Tuft Extraction Engineer. It's a real thing.
The carpet was probably pretty once.
Annie put down Allure.
It was hard.

I finished a piece of plywood we liked. Lighter than the 3/4" pieces we saw, and bigger.
Annie put down tread trim on the stairs. Don't look at the dirty swirls, look at the trim.
We're thinking about light folding chair options. Any suggestions?

We think she's (maybe) an American Bobtail. We called her a Maine Coon for a long time, but she's small and was born with the short tail, and we happened upon a picture that looked just like her in a cat ID book. We have another that we think is MC, though.

Holy F*ck - You guys are brave ! I'd love to haul out the dinette in my RV and replace it with a lounge chair as I never use it. Would miss the bench storage though but I figure I'd be able to work around that. Tell 'Pants' she's hired !!

Thanks! I know just enough to be dangerous, fortunately things seem to work out OK in the end.
Amen on the carpet. The stuff in the kitchen was so disgusting we decided to do the living room, too. That will wait until after I'm laid off, though (Feb. 28). The stuff that a vacuum can't get out of a carpet is amazing. And revolting.
