What's not to tolerate?
Annie is not content to tolerate. Annie is ready to enjoy!
Yecch. Look away.
Annie wore safety glasses to protect her from the ugly.
Things are always darkest before ... well, it was bad for a while.
These things will NOT come up. Annie tried ratcheting things that would not ratchet, a Dremel multi-tool, a hacksaw, bolt cutters, and language that melted our siding.
There was no basement bay access to the nuts holding the bolts in place. We tried to get some traction on the bottom side by using the crowbar to create tension. It created tension in my neck and back, but the bolts kept on spinning.
What worked: Phil and a bolt grinder [no photo because I was freakin' terrified]
Tuft Extraction Engineer. It's a real thing.
The carpet was probably pretty once.
Annie put down Allure.
It was hard.
She's been dead a long time. Can I eat her now? |
I finished a piece of plywood we liked. Lighter than the 3/4" pieces we saw, and bigger.
Annie put down tread trim on the stairs. Don't look at the dirty swirls, look at the trim.
We're thinking about light folding chair options. Any suggestions?

Nice work here, people.
Thanks!
You see that tuft extraction protocol? That's where the back problems began.
Awesome work you guys!
Thank you! We're pretty pleased with the difference.
I really like the new flooring. :)
Wow! Great job...better be careful posting this...you might get some phone calls inquiring as to hiring you for others' renovations!
Looks really nice!

Thanks! Annie did a great job with it.
The floor and table look great! So impressed with your DIY skills. Sorry I don't have any chair recs. Wasn't there some discussion about that very topic recently on the WGS group?
Not only are you two creative and handy, you're entertaining too :)
Love what you've done. Good luck on the chairs...I'm no help at all :)
Floor looks great. Is that a Maine Coon cat?
You're probably right, but I must have missed it. I'll go search for it.
Thanks! Annie provided all the skill and I supplied the high-fives.
:D Thanks!
We think she's (maybe) an American Bobtail. We called her a Maine Coon for a long time, but she's small and was born with the short tail, and we happened upon a picture that looked just like her in a cat ID book. We have another that we think is MC, though.
Thank you!
Kathy, I'm always looking for more jobs ... for Annie.
Thanks!
I think your comment got hung up in moderation because it had a link. I'm going to change that in our settings, unless we start getting actual spammy links.
Holy F*ck - You guys are brave ! I'd love to haul out the dinette in my RV and replace it with a lounge chair as I never use it. Would miss the bench storage though but I figure I'd be able to work around that. Tell 'Pants' she's hired !!
That tuft extraction protocol looks horrendous for the lower back. Good thing it's over.
You are so right. The song is over, but the malady lingers on.
Har! I imagine she'd do the job for a nice long ride on your bike.
If she can ride it - she can go on a ride for a long as she wants.....errrrr, well within a day anyway. LOL
IMPRESSIVE!
Annie is a real pro! It looks so nice!

Thanks Heidi! Just don't look too close. :0)
Great Job! We could really use Annie to do a few things at our place!
I still don't understand why they put carpet in RV's. It's too hard to keep them clean.

Thanks! I know just enough to be dangerous, fortunately things seem to work out OK in the end.
Amen on the carpet. The stuff in the kitchen was so disgusting we decided to do the living room, too. That will wait until after I'm laid off, though (Feb. 28). The stuff that a vacuum can't get out of a carpet is amazing. And revolting.
