I changed immediately, out of my afternoon pajamas into my afternoon pants, to investigate. These caballeros de caballos, these señors de vaca, they are stuffed with lore.

Annie has been confined to the barn for several days because of her bad back. I waited on her hoof and mouth for a few minutes, then I went out.

Looks like a nice place to stay for awhile. Are the pueblos accessible, would be neat to walk around inside there. Beautiful pics, I like the flowers. There is lots of stuff with the Montezuma name here, too.

Teri, there is no access to the cliffside pueblos other than what a telephoto lens provides. The pueblo ruins at ground level are technically open, other than a sign asking you to stay on the path. I think I remember reading once that Montezuma never came here, so I'm not sure how that name came to be.
Jim and Gayle, they're probably bunking at the neighboring Bar D Ranch. I didn't get a look at anyone's brand, but that's what I suspect.
Ish, that reminds me of my step-father talking about the part of the chicken that went over the fence last.

Carolyn, I am with you . Not so sure about all this desert stuff. Alltho it is beautiful certain times of the year. I guess I tend to prefer mountains. I just looked at your blog and see you in Colorado. I spent a whole summer there in my rv mid 90's. One of my favorite states ! Maybe a little early for the mountains tho. So, that is when the desert comes in handy.

When I first saw the desert, back in 1980, I thought it was horrible. You couldn't have dragged me back. Now it looks beautiful to me. I think I needed desert eyes to see it .
