so cool. I went to the site and want to order, but couldn't quite figure out the ebook thing. Are they downloadable to my kindle or just to the computer? I looked around for an explanation on Marianne's site but didn't find it, but of course found all the other goodies! So thought I would just ask you...
I love her books. They are definitely one of our favorite resource books when we want to do some boondocking.

Sue, I was surfing on my computer when I bought my e-book, so that's where it landed. I just now hooked my Nook up to my computer and dragged it over. Does that help at all?
Sue, they download as a pdf to your computer, then you copy it to your kindle. Here are instructions

I wish they were like a regular book...I am so old fashion! But I might try it for the Calif one....would love to do some beach camping. Also AAA has some great camping books if you are a member...not necessarily for boondocking but they do list a lot of campsites just for general info. Aren't we lucky in the great Western states there is still so many great FREE places....not so back in the East where we have been for the past two months. Can't wait to get home to my beautiful Arizona...heading up to the north rim ...
p.s....I never get tired of reading about your food adventures....we are all looking for different and better ways to take care of ourselves. I do have one question though if you care to share...have you lost weight through healthier eating?...

Contessa, I don't know! QUACK! But, Marianne is a real person with whom I've corresponded several times, and she would for sure tell you.
Ain't, I share your complaint. I'm getting used to my e-reader, but it's not a smooth process. Something about licking my claw and turning a page. The East is awful for boondocking. I thought we'd end up at a KOA before we got outta there.
About eating: yes, we have both lost weight since becoming vegan, and probably a little more since doing this temporary juice diet. My theory is that, besides being better food than we were eating before, I'm not bingeing. Before, even if I weren't hungry and there was cheese around ... fuhgeddaboudit. Now, I just don't bother browsing unless I'm hungry. We don't have a scale, though, so I can't give you pounds, but I'd say about a size and a half since going vegan.

Draw a line on the California map from Lake Tahoe to Fort Bragg. This California camping and boondocking guide concentrates on southwestern California's natural areas south of that line. Cool! I'm sure you'll be glad. But, even if you're not, you know...
Have done several trips to the Sierras, since it's literally our backyard. When you're ready to come up here, let me know and we'll plan a wine tasting tour. On one of our trips we went ziplining and rappelled into a cave for several hours of grueling spelunking... I won't offer to put you through that.
Okay, wait, you drank a lot of wine, and that made ziplining and spelunking seem like a good idea. I can see that. Alright - we get there, we'll drunk-spelunk.
